To Hermanus with Natasha

Today was another day with Natasha and to Hermanus to see the whales! Well, we got a couple of glimpses but that's OK! Then as we traveled back to CPT we stopped by Bloubergstrand, a lovely neighborhood with a nice little beach.

Headed back to V&A Waterfront to exchange money and a little dinner at Tang. It is a very nice Asian restaurant in the mall. There are several very fancy schmancy restaurants there...and Starbucks and Krispy Kreme...didn't stop, they weren't HOT🤣.

Tomorrow Natasha's friend who joined us on Saturday, Elize, is taking me back to Boulder Beach to a spot that is accessible for me to see the penguins and then more markets...I really haven't bought that much but have shopped the hell out of region!

Another side of Cape Town on the way to Hermanus

First wildlife in Hermanus. A dassies or rock rabbit. Everywhere and skittish.

Another little guy. But we're here to see whales

An old restaurant down the hill from town. Hermanus is a cute little town.

Trail down to old restaurant

Checking out all angles for orcas

They see something...

This guy does too...on his phone

But we saw some. Way out there in the center of the video you can see two whales having fun . Apologies for my finger🤷‍♀️

On the way back to Cape Town via Bloubergstrand

On the Rocks. A very fancy restaurant in Bloubergstrand. This was as close as I got.

Back to mall for some supper at Tang. Turned out to be a fancy place and I walk in with my tshirt and cap super casual. Oh well. Server sneered and looked me up and down but got a nice table. But service was terrible. A group of 5 or 6 servers were chatting while several tables didn't have drinks or menus. Funny thing is no one seems to care.

My order of chicken potstickers and ahi salad taco. Potstickers were great. Tacos were close to worst thing I've ever eaten at a restaurant in my life. Took an hour to get the servers attention to get the check. I was not impressed.

Tomorrow I get to hang out with Elize.
