A newlywed pair of lions sleeping on a bridge with his brother watching out for them.
Then, part of the same pride, 5 females and a cub. One truck was hording the prime spot to see the cub and wouldn't budge. We sat at both locations for crazy amount of time. It became obvious that the longer the camera lens the more guides catered to them. Me and my cel phone are doing just fine. So Angel, my drive buddy, and I finally got Morris to continue the drive in hopes of seeing other creatures.
Happened upon a bull elephant. Morris starts driving in front of him so we can get pics. The elephant was clearly agitated, shaking its head. I finally asked Morris to please stop. I just don't feel right stalking them. If you see them along the way, great...but don't agitate them. I probably pissed him off since he IS the expert and I only know a smidgen of elephant behavior from years of PBS and Wild Kingdom.😁
And up early for bush breakfast and drive.
Silverback jackals....hard to see and rarely out and about
Our first lions...
The guides call them the newlyweds...
And all they do ...sleep...and....cause traffic jams
