Hanging out at Two Rivers Mall Nairobi, Kenya

Ok doing my travel thing of checking out the grocery store. The Two Rivers Mall is largest in Kenya. Fortunately the Carrefour grocery and money exchange are near the entrance where my hotel is. God knows I need the exercise but I am winded. I had to buy a chocolate chip cookie so I could sit for a minute. Real hardship🤣 The elevation is kicking my Midwestern Plains' butt. 

Carrefour is huge. There's a Woolworths in here too but already experienced that. I don't anticipate too many differences from a US market but you never know. Carrefour isn't just a mere grocery store. Like, Woolies, it is Walmart of Nairobi. Woolies is probably more Target.

Oh sh*t just saw security with their AK47s. Seeing security should make me feel safer. I don't know why it is doing the opposite. When you think about it...the bombings of the US Embassy in 1998 wasn't THAT long ago. There are even instructions on hotel door on what to do in case of bomb...just under fire. Mmm...ok done freaking myself out. The cookie is crispy and has a different flavor. Not sure about it.

Well sweating like a Warthog and I just hit up 4 aisles at Carrefour. The cookie comes in handy again to have a seat.

Can you believe I almost bought clothes? As if I didn't bring half my closet. Bought a $3 tshirt...almost bought the US Army one and the Brooklyn one looked cool🤣. Here's just a quick video of the entrance from my ill-gotten seat at the cookie place.
